Info Other Requirements is missing on this page

A month ago this page was updated: http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Browser+Support In this update the section Other Requirements was deleted. Since I direct our members to this page, to check all requirements to be able to work with Wetpaint, I'm not happy about this deletion. Also I can't find another page where this info is covered well. I don't know why it was deleted... Perhaps because the page is called Browser Support? And Other Requirements don't match with this title? Would it be an idea to rename the page to: System Requirements? So that all necessary info can be kept on this page? On version 99 the info was still there: http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Browser+Support/revision/99 Now I direct our members to this earlier version... Btw... This info posted by CryingDove is very useful... Perhaps it can be used on the page as well? Wetpaint does not download any software to your system. Here is a list of programs that Wetpaint uses for wiki operation that you have control over: 1. Browsers - interpreting and rendering your pages. If a problem also shows up in another browser, chances are the browser itself is not the cause. Look towards the others programs listed here. 2. Javascript - controls functions of your wiki, buttons actions, forms and others 3. Adobe Flash Player - photo and video and widget management. (Each of these would have to be uninstalled before installing another copy of the program. It is best to uninstall even if you are upgrading to a new version. This will assure a good/fresh copy is placed on your system) Configuration of browsers could have an impact on your wiki operation. 1. Make sure javascript is enabled. If not, some features will not work at all. 2. Make sure that you have Flash player installed, and images are loaded automatically selected in the browsers options menu 3. Browser add-ons, plug-ins can create conflicts at times. If you are experiencing problems with your browser, disable an add-on or plug-in one at a time, and test. If the problem disappears, you know the plug-in or add-in was the cause. 4. Always clear your browser's cache and cookies. This should be the first step to take when problems occur with your wiki operation. * Do you find this valuable? |
