How can I edit the menu bar??

This is really bugging me, but can I edit the menu bar at the top where it says Home, Discussions, Photos, Videos, ect.? I noticed that on warriorctclans2new that there was an edited version of this bar that included differents things at the top, and I am curious as to how they did it. I want to try this out too. Can you show me how? Do you find this valuable?
