Under 13

I like this site the best out of all the sites I've seen. I was interested in using it for a kids' book club I am starting. However, I read the Terms of Service and in Section 4 it said that I cannot use WetPaint to create a site directed towards under-13s. I and most of the kids in my book club are under thirteen. Is there any way to change or modify this rule? I would like to use WetPaint, but if people younger than thirteen are not allowed, I will have to find another service provider.

No.As it states in our rules: http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Wetpaint+Central+Rules No one under 13 is allowed and will be banned if we find out you are u der 13...no exceptions. We will not change that rule. Sorry. -Alex 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

This isn't actually a matter of Wetpaint Central Rules. Wetpaint is legally obligated under COPPA to deny services to users under 13 years old. This cannot be changed without changing the law itself. Do you find this valuable? |

The COPPA act of 1997 prohibits people under 13 to use services like Wetpaint. This is a law, and only the United States of America can change this.
