We recently acuired a custom URL for our site (www.bchurch.wetpaint.com) to load on www.thebchurch.org. However, the ads have not disappeared on our site. Any help? Do you find this valuable?

You did not select ad-free. You selected to get a Custom URL. Just because you got the Custom URL, doesn't mean you also get ad-free for free. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Well, to remove the ads from your site, you would need to be an administrator or above. Then, go to the "Settings" menu, and hit the "Upgrades" tab in settings. Then, you will reach a page in which you can remove ads. For more information on removing advertisements from your wetpaint site, please go to the following page:

so does that mean that we also have to pay the $19/mo. in addition to remove the ads? Do you find this valuable?

Yes, you have to pay the $19.95 a month to remove ads.
