It may be that the site is made to where only writers can edit. What site is it?

Just to follow up on this.
If the site you are viewing requires you to first become a writer before you can start editing in place of the Easy Edit button you will see a gray button that will say "Apply to be a Writer". In order to be made a writer you will more often than not contact a moderator or administrator through a private message in order to be moved up. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
