I tried to access my computer, and it said a threat had tried to get my computer. Thankfully it couldn't attach, but I can't get to my site! 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

"We have seen reports of some kind of malware encountered while on Wetpaint sites, but reports have been somewhat vague. We believe this issue may be due to a critical security flaw of Adobe's Flash Player. Adobe released a critical security update recently, and we have posted a link to it on the homepage here at Wetpaint Central. Updating Flash Player very well may protect you from the malware.

We think that the malicious code might be accessing Wetpaint via one of the ad networks we use to serve up ads on Wetpaint sites. The challenge of identifying which ad is causing the problem is akin to the old needle in a haystack analogy. Wetpaint uses multiple ad networks and each has an inventory of thousands of ads. In order to identify what ad might be housing the malicious code, we need our users' help.

If you encounter something that looks like a virus or other malware, take note of what ads are on the page at the moment it happens, take a screenshot that shows the ads, and if possible, use Firebug (Firefox plugin) to copy the ad code as shown here:

It is happening on many websites, but not this one as it does not have ads. Do you find this valuable?
