why does my inbox do this?

on every site on wetpaint i go, even here where i have NO messages, it says I have at least 1 new one. I go and check and they're all old. About a month ago when this happened almost all but 2 messages in my inbox on my main site were deleted, even my outbox. and my trash was empty. Some help?! Do you find this valuable?

This answer was copied from an earlier post about the same problem:

"Oh, you need to update your email. The email you have provided Wetpaint is fake, and you need to change it to a real one. When you go to your inbox, you will get an "Update you Email" thing. It is not in your messages, but it is closer to the top when the compose message is. Just change your account email to a real one, and log out and in. You will be fine then. "

I did that twice and i logged on to that email. still says it. I did that like a couple weeks ago and i did it again a few mins. ago and everything. still the same
 Do you find this valuable?

Could it be, that you have new Compliments? Or Friend Requests? Still waiting for approval? Do you find this valuable?

Have you ever received an email from Wetpaint to the new email address you submitted? Do you find this valuable?

When you go to your Inbox, before your messages, is there something that says: Update your email! And: Why?

And/or try what BA suggested above?

OMG mine does this too and it drives me nuts i have tried everything to get it to stop and nothing seems to be working !!!!!!! Do you find this valuable?

When you open your Inbox, above the messages, does it say: Update your email? Do you find this valuable?

I have the same problem.... haha, i just left a thread with 2 of my problems... but iv'e tried updating me e-mail, and it hasn't worked... and my e-mail IS real, i get e-mails from wetpaint ALL the time... Do you find this valuable?

If you have another email, try changing it to it. If not, sign up for a new one with a different provider ( or the same one ) and change it to that.

But what if you log into facebook, and it still does that? What do you do then? Do you find this valuable?
