It would be nice if you could upload videos from your own computer and not just from the web.

I would like to know why you can't have a tick to de-select videos from getting into the video gallery. People put them on their profile pages and then these videos appear in the video gallery and you have to keep a constant watch for untitled or unrelated videos and then only a moderator can delete them. You can do it with photos why not videos?..Thanks...

Videos are large files. If Wetpaint allowed everyone to upload videos to their Wikis, then Wetpaint's servers would fill up very quickly. It's much easier to simply link to a video on another website, like YouTube or Google Video. That takes up almost no room on the server.

People do upload u-tubes to their wikis..the link has on a lot of times been broken or deleted...if you have your own copy of the u-tube it is better. Its the personal u-tubes to their profile pages that cause the extra work..cause there is no way of stopping them getting into the video galley which is meant for other purposes. The sites I am on are celebrity based and u-tubes are a part of building these sites...there aren't piles of them though.

I would like to see a tick mark option also. Although the option to delete the video from the video gallery is there, most of my videos are placed on pages and it creates more work to put the widget on the page, bypass the video info dialog box, then go to the video gallery and delete that video from the gallery. not all videos are on YouTube or Google, what about the rest of the vast majority of world internet videos that scream for attention while being thrown aside by YouTube and Google?

Most of those video sites... similar to YouTube or Google... also have the embed option !Get the embed code from there... and add it as a widget in Wetpaint. * Do you find this valuable? |

what about videos yet to be uploaded because of the descriminatory and bias restrictions that reside in most video websites?

"what about videos yet to be uploaded because of the descriminatory and bias restrictions that reside in most video websites? "What restrictions are you referring to? You can upload anything to YouTube as long as it is not sexually explicit or racist. Do you find this valuable? |

No, not really. Keep in mind that sexually explicit and racist content is also against Wetpaint's rules.
