Fighting some mass spam
Dec 8 2009, 10:38 PM EST
So on my site, there was just this user who made 444 threads in rapid succession all the same. He or she added a thread to that many pages. I have already banned the user, but is there some efficient way to remove it all or must I manually delete each of the 444 threads? All help is appreciated.

I am afraid that you will need to manually delete all 444 threads. It has been suggested in the past that Wetpaint should make it easier to delete mass threads, but they have yet to make it happen. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

CaptainSpaz is right, but some tips for you:-If you have any moderators, ask them to help you out a bit. -Open new tabs in your browser for each thread, and just go one by one. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Go to discussions, select all threadsGo to the address bar and it should read something like this http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/thread?offset=20&maxResults=20 Change the value of maxResults=20 to maxResults=100. And hit the Enter key. This will bring up one hundred results per page. Manually delete the unwanted threads. Then when that is complete, refresh the page and do the same procedure to change the value again to 100. Repeat until you have cleared all 444 threads. It will save some steps in navigating through the threads page by page. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
