unable to invite students to a public wiki

I have a wiki that I use for my class (http://fa2009-itec2360-3.wetpaint.com). Permissions are set so that anyone can view the site and post to threads but only those promoted to writers can post or edit pages. I have 21 students in my class. I invited all of them yesterday (at about 3:10 PM mountain time) to join the site as members. They all accepted. However, only 18 ever showed up as members. The other three got the invitation email and accepted it but never appeared in the members list--so I cannot promote them to be writers. I tried resending the invitation but that still didn't work. What should I do now? Do you find this valuable?

If you are experiencing problems with inviting them, have them manually go to your site, and click the "Sign-up" button on the top of the page. They will then follow the same registration process as if they had gotten invited.
