If someone posted a rude or irrelevant thread in your discussion forum, you can complete remove all traces of it by doing this:

Don't use the moderator tool to delete the whole thread. Delete it one reply at a time until it is the original post, then use the moderator tools and it will vanish completely from the site updates page.
Note: This doesn't work with profile threads. Do you find this valuable?

¿Could the same idea in reverse be used to figure out who deleted the thread? Do you find this valuable?
