There were a number of sites that were part of beta testing when Wetpaint first began. I believe WikiFido was the first Wetpaint site that was created, however I could be wrong. WikiFido was created on Feb. 8, 2006 at 11:50 PM EST. Do you find this valuable? |

There were many "first sites" created on Wetpaint. At first, Wetpaint staff were the only ones that could create wikis, and then, users would contribute to those wikis. Some of the first wikis made by the wetpaint staff were: wikiFido, wikiGOP, wikiDemocrat, and wikiSandbox. There were more, but I do not know of all of them. Basically, any site with wiki____ is one of the first sites made on Wetpaint.

See this link: http://www.wikiindex.org/WetpaintIf you scroll down to the bottom, you can see quite a few ole' Wetpaint wiki's. Have a glance a few...you can tell some were created before the 'tables' features was invented in the WYSIWYG editor. December 01, 2005, Wetpaint was the name Wikisphere decided to take as it's new official title. Wikisphere was a wiki host that did solely custom work. In March of 2006, Wetpaint decided to test market the idea of free wiki hosting. In June, 2006, Wetpaint became a free wiki host to all. Some of the first sites to take use of Wetpaint are still here today. Xbox360 and EMGN Gaming. wikiFido was the original wiki on the Wetpaint network. That was Wetpaint's original testing wiki..some other orignal wikis are wikiDemocrat, wikiGOP, and wikiSandbox. As word got around about Wetpaint, there became a need to have a help site. So in Sep 2006 Heidianna created "The Moderator Lounge", but later adopted the name "Wetpaint Central" when threads about problems, new features, and other things started popping up.
