Warning message when canceling the creator account.

In an issue I've seen about 50 times now, newer users are cancelling their accounts to "use a different account" or "start over". What they don't know is the creator status is only handed out once to one account and is never handed out again. I HIGHLY suggest the staff adds a warning like "If you cancel this account you can NEVER get creator status back on this wetpaint site" To the cancel account function. We could avoid allot of dead sites that way.

Hey Comando, For cancelling your memberships, the cancel membership page already says that. The page says, "If you cancel your membership from this site, you will not be able to regain your position when you join automatically. For example, if the creator gets to the page where he can confirm he is cancelling his account, there is a warning message saying, "If you cancel your membership to this site, your status of Creator cannot be regained." 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Needs to be more apparent because users are still somehow not seeing it.

If you cancel your membership, you will no longer: * Receive any email notifications from this site * Have access to any private features associated with your profile * Receive credit for past contributions to the site * Have active subscriptions on this site Once you have canceled your membership, your current status as Creator will not automatically be reinstated should you choose to rejoin the site in the future. If this site is set to private status, you will be locked out of the site when you cancel your membership. I think it is better said, "users are not reading it " Pehaps putting the message in red would work. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
