invitees are not able to "get in"

I have a teen book club and we have a wet paint wiki. I sent invitations to each of the members at their email address. Some of the members with hotmail addresses are not able to get into the wiki. They receive the invitation, click the appropriate link and get a page instructing them to ask for an invitation from the site's creator. Very frustrating. How to I get these kids logged in with their own password so that all club members can participate and check for news, etc.
The url of our wetpaint wiki is http://bookclubbers33.wetpaint.com
The name of the wiki is Teen Book Club 33
I'd like to get this sorted out asap. Thanks.

Invites are no longer supported for sites that are set as "private". In order to join a site, the permissions need to be set to a public setting. The site can be made private again afterward. Do you find this valuable?
