"This is actually a regular feature of most other wikis - the ability to remove members and references to them; it is not so 'unusual', nor should it be a 'custom-design' idea. Just a basic feature of a wiki-page, just as deleting-content (such as photo and video albums posted by writers themselves) should also be part of 'editing' a wiki. Group projects is a common educational use of wiki-pages.

"It's not only 'threads' that can be viewed... as I mentioned above, links to their PROFILES still work, and from their profiles, you can click on 'contributions', which shows ALL of their past work (written pages, etc), as well as the profile itself (containing student names, photos, etc.). "Just keep making formatting changes to your profile or changing your profile image, the will easily be gone.
And if you deleted the pages where the past work was, they cannont see it unless they are to restore it as moderators.
