They took it away because groups began fighting about whose site was better. The Wetpaint 500 is gone permanently.

"Why would you take it away? Cant you just say something like "we took it away because..." or "It will be back on..." or even "It will be gone permanently because..." Come on!"Well, on this page it says: "Wetpaint has heard several ideas from it's community about how to improve our site rankings. We are working on a better way to reward and recognize all the hard work you put into your Wetpaint sites. I am going to lock this thread. Jeremy has already given an answer about the Wetpaint 500, and that is final. He works for Wetpaint, so he knows what they are doing with it. There is no need to debate.
