Search box needs its own row?

It seems in the last few days or so we've moved the search box to the right and given it its own row? What is the point of this? The search box was fine where it was before (above the drop menu). The number and size of header bar rows needs to be contracted not expanded. On some wikis there's so much size to the header bars (wetpaint top bar, ads, site banner, header tool bar, search box row, etc,) that there is barely two or three inches at the bottom of the page given to the actual wiki content. Do you find this valuable?

It happened in last night's release. I don't like it. Especially with the sites that have ads. It looks horrible. I despise it greatly.

This change is part of our preparations for the page layout redesign. It will make a lot more sense once those changes go into effect. Do you find this valuable?
