Wetpaint basically allows you to create a free wiki which you can edit and contribute with users all over the web. Wiki's can also be used for your own personal use. For example if you planned on taking a trip. You can have all your friends or family members who are attending the trip join the wiki. You can make a check list of what you will need. Your friends or family will then be able to add or remove items from this list. Allowing you to have everything you would need for your trip. Wetpaint features are very basic, and are meant for those who are not to familiar with creating their own website. Things such as tables, links, and photos can be added by just a few clicks of your mouse. When you hit easy edit a toolbar will appear with many options for you to choose from, over time you will begin to understand these options as if you had been using them your whole life. It takes some time, but in my opinion Wetpaint is quick and easy to learn. You can easily browse pages in the navigation on the left. by clicking the arrows you will be able to view the sub pages of a certain page. By clicking the name of the page, you will be taken to that page. Below are some page sections you may want to view. http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/EasyEdit - I suggest reading the easy edit section, this will explain everything you need to know about the options you are given in the toolbar. http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/What+is+a+Wetpaint+Site - You may want to view this page for more information on what Wetpaint is. http://www.wetpaint.com/wiki - By pasting this link in your address bar, you will be able to go create your own account. http://wetpaint.com - This is Wetpaint's main homepage. There are more details I can go into, but those are the basics of Wetpaint. Wetpaint Central (The wiki you are at) is a help site, which can answer any questions you have about Wetpaint. Sorry for the lengthy post. 5 out of 5 found this valuable. Do you? |

Hi Naru2008, I just wondering I can use this to do a work learning project for those who are invited to be on the project? Would the public be able to get access to it? LYingWC Do you find this valuable? |

It is possible to make your site private. However for members to join your site will need to be public. I suggest inviting all your members that you need for the project., once they join you can make the site private. This will allow you all to work on the project without having to worry about unwanted members.View this page for more information: http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Private+sites 1 out of 1 found this valuable. "Thanks for your great information. If I create a topic on a learning project for work, would I be able to just invited those who are in the project to join or this will be open to the public?Hi LYingWC. There is a way you can make it to where it can be just certain people, or public. When you make your site, it will ask you if you want to make the site: public or private. If you want anyone to see it, select the public option. If you want just certain people to join, select the private option. If you already made the site, click on ' Settings ' then ' Permissions '. Although, the Invite system doesn't work anymore. See: http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/thread/3303758/Invites+and+Private+Sites+-+not+working Hope this helps. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

The main advantage of Wetpaint is the WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editing system. Wetpaint provides you all the tools all you have to do is find a topic you are interested in and start adding!Check out Wetpaint.com for a few great wiki examples. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
