wetpaint should use text ads instead of banner because according to

text ads get more clicks 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Either way, there are not going to be to many clicks unless by accident.
Also if you look below the navigation to the left on sites with ads there are Text ads. Plus if I would have any ads on my site I would want banners, I think text ads look ugly. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

The best way would be to use full page ads. I use em on my site and it's a money making giant :D

With full page ads, users can not continue to the website unless they close the ad. I've set it so they show up every 6 hours per user. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
