Adding a custom URL: will links to name.wetpaint.com still work? SEO?

I'm about the add a custom URL using the techniques described here:
http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Custom+URLs

My wiki has a PageRank of 3, I think, because there are many links to its pages. When the URL of the site changes from tmswiki.wetpaint.com to tmswiki.org, will those links still work? I.e. if someone clicks on a link to http://tmswiki.wetpaint.com/page/TMS+FAQs , will that link still work when the correct address is now http://tmswiki.org/page/TMS+FAQs ?

Assuming that the Wetpaint software is clever enough to redirect the browser to the new address (I've been quite impressed by its cleverness with page renaming), what will happen the next time Google crawls the web? Will it disregard links to http://tmswiki.wetpaint.com/page/TMS+FAQs because the URL is now somehow redirected to http://tmswiki.org/page/TMS+FAQs . Google seems to react harshly to any sort of funny business like that. Will we lose a lot of PageRank as a result? I'm already expecting a large drop in PageRank because the domain name will be different. Do you find this valuable?

When you add a new domain name to your Wetpaint site, your previous ".wetpaint.com" URL will automatically redirect to the new domain name. No links, internal or external, will be broken.

 Do you find this valuable?
