I can't upload an animated pic I made properly. It shows up on the site but doesn't do any animation. Is it couse it's a private wiki? What's going on?

Thanks! :)

You may want to view this page on Splats 2 created by the WPC Moderator CryingDove. It supplies some great information on animated images.

Animated gifs cannot be resized or the will not animate. Make sure when you place the animation on a page that the image is at original size. (edit image, and you will see the option original size). If the animation is to be used as an avatar it cannot be any larger than 50 x 50 in size or Wetpaint will resize it and the animation will be lost. The size can only be set at the creation of the animated gif file.

It still didn't work. It's not an avatar, it's a big picture. It's on my profile on this site if u wanna check it out. It's at it's original size there. I can't figure out what's going on... Do you find this valuable?

I see a video, 2 jpeg images and a png image. There are no GIF files on your profile.
Animated images are always Gifs. Make sure you save the file as a GIf not a png or a jpg file.

Well there is no gif on your profile. What can I say. Everything that needs to be said about your problem has already been outlined.

Yes I see a pic with water and a dolphin. Right click on the image and select properties. You will see that is was saved on Wetpaint's image server as a jpeg file. The dimensions of the image saved on Wepaint are 679 x 1000 scaled 66 %

The scaled 66 % part is where your image is losing its animation

Again, to correct this.

Easyedit your profile
Click on your gif image
A popup will appear saying "Edit Photo"
Click that
When the new dialog box appears
There should be an option that reads "Original Size"
Click that and your gif will not be resized by Wetpaint.

Plus there is another factor to concider. Your gif is put into the center cell of a three column table. The width dimension for the cell is 688 pixels. If your gif on your computer is wider than 688 pixels, Guess what? Wetpaint is going to resize it and you will lose your animation.
Try reducing the size of the two outer columns (purple ones) and increasing your center column. This may help in not resizing the gif. OR
Don't put the gif, because of its size in the table at all. Put it beneath the table
