A member of the Wetpaint community, Joshutex submitted this wonderful outline for getting people to your wiki.Simple, yet effective steps can be taken to ensure that your site see's more visitors: * Have an easy site name, and a solid site description http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Site+Name+and+Description * The Promote my Wiki area is also a great place to go http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Wiki+Promote+Area * Invite friends. Chances are, they'll invite their friends with the same passion as you, and then they'll invite their friends, etc.. http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Invite+Friends * Exchange links with simular sites. If you have a passion, others share it. It’s the essence of Wetpaint Wikis. http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Link+and+Banner+Exchanges * Build better page names and descriptions. http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Naming+Pages --and/or-- http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Page+Description * Link your own content. I mean internally link it. Once a new, interested person on your site see's one great page, chances are they are going to want to see similar pages. That's the beauty of linking http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Internal+Links * Use social media tools like Facebook, Myspace, or Twitter to spread the word about your new site http://www.facebook.com --and/or-- http://www.myspace.com --and/or-- http://www.twitter.com *Get a good, easy to remember URL. If you have something like "csi.wetpaint.com" then it should be easy to remember. But if you have something like "csifansforever122.wetpaint.com" then you may want to try a custom url.
