this will make angry users much happier
Sep 2 2009, 4:18 PM EDT
a bunch of us are annoyed with the sensor thing, right? while a bunch of us are happy with it. means that its split half and half. how 'bout we make everyone happy, by giving website admins and creators the option to sensor the threads or to NOT sensor them?

I have an idea: What if the admins could choose what words to censor?! :)

The censor should be enabled by default and Admins should have the ability to turn it off in the Site Settings.

It depends on your site as too what type of site you run.....and it depends on what words are displayed...there are 2 main ones that should be cut off immediately...F...C....some of the milder words are fine and should be left alone...if you have children under 16 on your site then most /all words should be monitored...but it should be up to the creator of the site ..What annoys me is that the site you are running is suppose to be adults but children can join up....riduculous....

"But why would you want offensive language to be displayed?"because it makes rp's seem more realistic when people can say what they really would, and it makes fanfictions so much better without the childish "frikkin" or "fruit" or "fudge" Do you find this valuable? |

It seems the only sites that have a problem with this are the fan fiction type. That cannot be in the majority of sites on Wetpaint. IMO, Wetpaint should get rid of those sites. They are too vulgar and violent. Wetpaint is for all ages 13 and up.
