Nice job WP, faves definitely the bad word replacer, I've been wanting this for a few months. The bing search is a good addition and making reported photos disappear temporarily was a very good idea. Nice Release as usual, Wetpaint. Madusha 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

HOW DARE YOU REPLACE MY SWEAR WORDS. THERE BETTER BE A WAY TO TURN THAT FEATURE OFF. Censorship has gone too far. EPIC FAIL Wetpaint. No notification, no information, nothing. I just notice I can't type **** anymore. 2 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

Great update Wetpaint. I highly appreciate the word censoring. However I agree with StrykerPez, this should be optional. Not everyone doesn't mind swearing. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

I like the feature, but it still doesn't take away from the fact that people should be restraining themselves. Still, it is better to have a swear word censored than to have to delete an entire reply or thread. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Don't like it that much myself.I understand censoring in threads, but the site I'm part of is a fan site, and most of the members are adults. And we have a section for stories, I don't agree with having the censoring in stories, plus ALL these stories are given age ratings as well as warnings. 4 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |

I'm not too thrilled with it myself. As my friend above me said, most of us are adults, and the censoring should not affect our Fan Fiction stories. We have ratings for it. 3 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

Sorry but I'm not a fan of the word censoring. I feel that this feature should be an option for sites, if possible.

Maybe it should be enabled by default and Admins can turn it off by going to the wiki settings. That sounds like a better idea because of the complaints.

"The very first line of the Rules of Conduct of the Terms of Service reads:I am for the censored word feature. It forces everyone to follow the Terms of Service of Wetpaint. Vulgar as defined in Webster's Dictionary as "offensive in language" So the feature is only enforcing something that has been in place for a long time. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

Are you crazy!!?!?!?How can you censor people like this??? Maybe being from Europe makes this hard for me to understand, but this is just plain WRONG!!! And you are censoring all pages now, therefore affecting all new Fan Fiction being written on our site and FF is a HUGE part of our site. So sorry for sounding harsh here, but how DARE you censor people's creative work?????? You are changing people's stories, their work. This is just simply wrong. If there must be censoring, fine I can go for it in threads, but pages? No way! 3 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |
