If you right-click on the image you will see that in fact it is a jpg file. Animation is only available as a Gif file. You can take 2 or more Jpeg files to create a series of frames to make an animated Gif through a gif creator. That image by itself will never blink. Do you find this valuable?

I did. I tried the myspace generator and then right clicked on it and selected save as. It didn't give a file type so i saved it as banner.gif i guess it converted it to a jpeg I'll replace it with the other one I saved that is a jpeg and then I'll make shadowmlb a moderator. Can you describe what is supposed to blink on that graphic? From there we can find a solution for you.

Theres supposed to be the scene that's on the screenshot and the words are supposed to fade out and it's supposed to look like the sun is moving across the scene then it goes black and there's a lightning strike and then black and then a series of three animals fading to black and then words move across the screen, first "Shapeshifters" and then "on www.warriorcatsheaven.wetpaint.com" fades in and moves in the opposite direction Do you find this valuable?

Thank you for sending the image, I finally figured out the problem. Your files size is 1.57 MB, which is huge! Your pictures changes so much, and so often it causes the size to become larger. Your pictures size can be no bigger than 500 KB. So you need to drop a little over 1000 KB which equals 1 MB. So drop maybe the final scenes and it should cut down the size a lot. I don't think just making it smaller would solve the problem. I mean if it were to work you would probably have to make it almost impossible to see, and even then it probably still won't work. Do you find this valuable?

To create those effects would require a separate pic for each event. e.g. The Sun moving across the sky might take 9 different pictures with the sun in a different position in the sky. And this would hold true for the animals, the text, and the fades.

It would take at minimum of 90 to 100 pictures to create the effects you are trying to present.

An animated gif is a movie comprised of frames of changing pictures to create the animation. Go here to see a very detailed description on how animated gifs work.

http://computer.howstuffworks.com/web-animation2.htm

For your first animated gif project, you have selected one that Walt Disney would marvel at.

Is it possible to post gifs over 500k on a page? I found some gifs on Photobucket that I'd like to put up on my wiki profile but they don't animate when I place them there (I'm assuming this is because they are over 500k). It seems like I've seen gifs with more complex animation on other people's profile pages... is there another way to add them that I'm not aware of? Can you add them as a widget or something along these lines? Or is there a program where you can resize preexisting gifs without interrupting the animation?

Sorry, I'm not that computer savvy, so ANY suggestions at all will help.
Thanks very much!!
