Excuse me!

These categories are nice for small, easily organized forums, but I'm stuck with 2500 threads in the 'general discussion' category, and I have no intention of creating new categories and moving all of those threads. Give us the option to hide the 'categories' and automatically view 'all threads' when we click the discussion forum. Do you find this valuable?

I agree with this. It's really not helping much with organization, it's just giving some site owners a harder time. :( Do you find this valuable?

If your not going to make anymore categories... then what's the big deal? That would pretty much become your view all threads button since they only appear in that category. I don't mean for that to be taken the wrong way, I'm just saying. Do you find this valuable?

On the discussion forum on ALL sites, there is a tab on the top that says all threads. If you do not want to use the category, you can easily delete all the categories besides the General Discussion. To delete categories, go to the category, select on moderator tools, and hit delete category. Then, all you have to have is the General Discussion category. If you want to view all the threads, click on the tab, "All Threads". Do you find this valuable?

If you do not create any new categories, it will be the same as it was before the release came out. All 2500 threads will be there in one category. I agree with shadowmlb.

And the option to view all threads is next to the Featured Threads tab. It is labeled All Threads

The big deal is that it takes one more button to access the threads area. This would be especially annoying for users who have slower dial up connections.

There should at least be an option in each persons account settings to 'turn off' forum categories, or set the default tab to 'all threads.' Do you find this valuable?

It is only one button. It does not take that much speed to load one more page. All you need to do is hit "All Threads" or "General Discussion". I do not see the point in automatically going to a page when all it takes is one more click. Even with dial-up connections, it would not be a major problem making one more click. I don't think you understand how important one button can be. It makes all the difference when you're on a busy site, trying to reply to threads as fast as you can. Do you find this valuable?

It doesn't seem to be a problem with any other members, I don't think this is necessary. Do you find this valuable?

There are a number of people who are quite annoyed with the categories update. Tell me, why can't I see which page each thread belongs to anymore? Do you find this valuable?

Just click the All Threads tab. Under this tab you will be able to find where the thread is located.

But why not have the location listen in the general discussion area too? This could have been a great update if wetpaint had included some basic basic features with it, like the ability to set the default discussion forum tab. Do you find this valuable?

I do not think this feature you want is needed. Clicking on all threads is all you need to do to see all threads. It is just one extra click. It does not take long for the page to load at all. They implanted the "All Threads" tab, so if you wanted to view all tabs, you could do it. Do you find this valuable?
