Technical Difficulty Announcement.

I would like to suggest a clickable closing information window, that could be used by WP to broadcast to all the sites,that WP is experiencing Technical Problems. Similar, to the announcement that all sites receive when WP is performing Site Maintenance. This would eliminate all the inquiries or bug reports to WPC, when something does go wrong. WP members would know and await a Problem Resolved message. Do you find this valuable?

It could even be sent to all Moderators, Administrators and Creators of Wetpaint Wikis by means of a Private Message to them. Do you find this valuable?

What you suggest would be bare minimum action to take by WPC. It would sure help us answer the inquiries. I was thinking more along the lines of curtaiing all the threads about the problem. If the members were alerted on their sites, they would be no need for them to come to WPC and ask if there were a problem or not. Do you find this valuable?

I've wanted like a Wetpaint-wide announcement feature for when they are planning on doing maintenance so that everyone can be well informed. It could be used for what you suggest as well. Do you find this valuable?
