Why did you not use meebo or something? I mean, it's a lot harder to do it with this, and Meebo can be done in like 5 minitues.

There was a meebo chat room here in WPC a while back. It became difficult to manage 24/7. The room started to have inappropriate links being posted in chat. So the room was removed. The mibbet IRC chat, I am not certain whether that is active or not. I have been there a few times and found myself whistling in an empty room. You are correct Meebo is much simpler. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I use xat that takes 2 deconds to put up, and its very es to use! Do you find this valuable?

The problem is not with the setup or the configuration of any of the chat widgets. It is the monitoring of the chat itself. It would require a responsible person or persons to be in the room 24 hours a day and 7 days a week to provide the vigillance to assure, that language and links were appropriate for WetPaint Central Members. Finding people willing to volunteer to sit in a chat room, regardless if there is another chatter there is very difficult requirement to expect of anyone. Do you find this valuable?

I would be able to to it from 11:00 am EDT to 10:00 pm EDT. And someone put some really bad link in there once so I warned people. Do you find this valuable?

That is great damio. Perhaps a thread could be started requesting others that could provide the moderating of such a room with the times they could cover and a backup person for them, if for some reason they are unable to provide coverage. Do you find this valuable?

Yeah. The only time I would be gone would be Lunch and Dinner. Also maybe a little in the mid day. Do you find this valuable?
