1) I'd like to be able to use the short cut keys from world to insert international characters as I type. Please, please, please.
2) I can't figure out how to get some widgets into the site, such as that map thing that shows origin of people watching.

Wetpaint Injected is something else entirely. It is not what you're looking for.

You can already use "international characters" in Wetpaint the same way you can in any other application. (If you don't believe me, just look at the usernames here on WPC.) There are some restrictions on this -- particularly in p2p messages, where non-ASCII characters are always converted to their HTML entity equivalents; but they work properly in most contexts: usernames, page names, page content, photo/video names and descriptions, etc.
