Video Tab threads

I am baffled as to why a thread posted under a video in the 'Video' Tab page, doesn't show up in 'Updates' but does show in the Discussion Forum. Any member who uses the Update tab when checking for new content, has no indication that this thread or any replies exist.As I can see no valid reason for this, I can only put it down to being a bug/oversight. I just created a thread for the "What is a Wiki" video and I saw that thread in three different locations. The discussion forum,. site activivty updates, and updates for threads. There is a different format for the thread in the updates section. At the top of each of the updates listing for the thread it will tell you the LOCATION. The location is the actual video the thread was posted under. Do you find this valuable? |

Updates show thread 'Test' has been deleted. On closer investigation, UPDATES 'Dashboard' shows thread created but NO replies but THREAD tab shows all. Question then, why is the thread listed on my site dashboard but 3 replies are not? Ideas? BTW, thanks again for spending the time on this. Uzi. Do you find this valuable? |

There were not three replies, Only three listings of the original post. The reply that youy made will show up in the discussion forum and on the dashboard under the Threads tab.

I am not sure why the reply did not show up under the general updates section for site activity. Although it can be found in two other places. Perhaps an oversight.

"But it should be displayed on the DASHBOARD tab as this is the DEFAULT tab for showing new content & what most members check when visiting the site. I have checked using IE& & Firefox & both show the same on my site. Do you find this valuable? |

Perhaps an oversight."As stated earlier it does show up in the discussion forum and also under the Threads of the updates dashboard. Why it doesn't show up in the general sites updates is probably an oversight. I will pass this thread link onto one of the administrators for them to forward it to the Wetpaint programming staff. Do you find this valuable? |

Thanks much for the report, uzicom.This is a known gap in our implementation of video threads, and it's on our list of things to correct. Frankly, it's been on that list for awhile; we've been concentrating lately on bigger features, like Facebook integration and news feeds, and haven't had the cycles to get around to cleanup work.
