HELP PLEASE HELP

I want to delete pages because for some reason I can never get the template to look the same if I cut and paste. I want all my pages to look the same and need to remake them and pick the template as I make them. Thing is if I use a name that was all ready used do I have to think of another name for the page? everytime I click on it, it shows me the original page I don't want. Can't I just make that page go away for good? Do you find this valuable?

What I did on my site, since I had this same problem is to simply rename the page to something you will never use then delete it. Then you will be able to create the pages you want without conflicting names. Do you find this valuable?
