Permissions by page

I would like to allow an invited user to edit one page but not another page (I'm trying to create wikis for different teams of students -- don't want a student from one team seeing or editing another team's page). Is this possible? Or do I have to create an entirely separate site (rather than page) for each team?
Do you find this valuable?

The second idea is the only one that will work at this time. There is no way to make a page visible to only a set of individuals. I would suggest setting up different private sites for each team. Invite only those members on a team for the appropriate team site. This way the information cannot be seen or edited by other teams.Wetpaint is looking into providing private pages. This may be a feature that will be available in a future release. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

Thank you for the rapid response.I find this site incredibly difficult to navigate, but I did discover some threads where people have been asking for a "private pages" feature for over a year. Do you find this valuable? |

There is an immense amount of information this site supplies and navigating to a specific answer can be daunting. Wetpaint Central is a wiki itself. So instructions, information and structure is a mix of experienced members, wetpaint staff and threads coming from the community. This makes Wetpaint Central a living organism that is constantly changing. But with the persons involved with this wiki, they do a good job of supplying as much direction and help as possible. Wetpaint programmers and engineers, are constantly working to provide the best product to their users. Change sometimes comes slow, but eventually will come. The suggestions the community has supplied does not go overlooked. They are evaluated, priortized and if the suggestion is ( I must say this ), Cost Effective, it will find its way to us in the community as an enhancement to our wikis. I hope that does not sound too "Corporate"? I am a wiki site owner and do not work for wetpaint. Do you find this valuable? |

How do you make a site private? You said above that you could set up "private sites" so how would you do this?
