Use of Friends
Jul 8 2009, 10:46 PM EDT
I am using one of my sites for a private group to collectively work on a document. Is there any functional advantage to having everyone add everyone else as a friend? Also, can someone advise me how to send a blast email to all my members through the site. I thought I read somewhere that there is a limit. I can't find the help on this, and I can't find how to email everyone. Thanks

Q 1. There is no functional advantage to having everyone add each other as friends with the exception of knowing they are liked by another. Q 2. There is not a function to email multiple recipients. There is in place a function to send a message to multiple members on the site. For registered users there is a limit of 15 members at a time. For moderators and up, there is an all members option. To read more about this follow the link below. http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Messaging There is a work-a-round to blast all members via email. That is to set up a page specifically for your message and have your members watch that page. They will be sent an email when the page changes . For further instructions on how to do this follow the link below. http://splats.wetpaint.com/page/How+to+Set+Up+a+Automatic+Newsletter 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
