REALLY ANNOYING bug
Jul 4 2009, 6:18 PM EDT
the bug occurred when I was on the page 3 of creating a website, which is http://www.wetpaint.com/wiki/funI was nearly done with finishing my website, and then it suddenly stopped me and said "Based on the information you supplied in a previous form, you are ineligible to create a Wetpaint account." But I already have a Wetpaint account, so I don't know why it would say that. I tried it a few more times, but the same thing happened!!! please help me!!! This is really annoying. If you are getting a message that says “Based on the information you have supplied, you are ineligible to create a Wetpaint account” then it means you entered a date of birth that would make you ineligible to join Wetpaint. This precaution helps to prevent children under the age of 13 from registering for Wetpaint. Children under 13 are not allowed to join Wetpaint due to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) laws, which we must comply with. If you made a mistake entering your DOB, then try clearing your browser’s cookie files and try again. If your birthdate does not put you over the age of 13, you cannot have a wetpaint wiki site. Did you receive the message before like it is stated in this post? It would appear from your post, you have tried to create a wikl before and was rejected because of age. If you are above the age of 13, please contact wetpaint at info@wetpaint.com Do you find this valuable? |

When I first made my Wetpaint account, then I entered the wrong birth date, but when I corrected it and tried again, then it let me create an account. So, I already have an account, and I am the right age, so the thing that is bothering me is that it comes up when I try to create my website, even though I already have an account that is eligible. Is there any way to stop it from doing that? I am disappointed that it won't let me create a website.

Now what you need to do is to copy your reply that is quoted and contact wetpaint at info@wetpaint.com. Send them an email explaining the situation and they should be able to correct the problem for you. Do you find this valuable? |

That URL took me to a Wetpaint site called "TheFunZone" that was about I have no clue what. I haven't actually made a site yet, because when I go to the very last stage, putting in your username, password, and typing the two words, that message immediately comes up and stops me from creating a website.

Anon, if you were able to create an account, then you should use that account when creating a wiki. Do not try to create a new account when you're creating the wiki. Instead, click the "Yes, I have a Wetpaint account" button and then sign in using your existing account credentials. If you still get a message telling you you're underage, clear your browser cache and cookies and try again. If you still can't create a wiki after trying all this, PM me here with your account name (no other details needed) and I'll look further into the problem. Phil Do you find this valuable? |
