If your a mod or up, then you should be able to delete anything on a site. Maybe I'm not understanding your question clearly though, are you asking for something that can delete several things at one time?

You are confusing, you can delete the photos from your wiki and from your computer, then go to your computer's recycle bin and select empty recycle bin.

OK go to the Pictures file on your computer. Highlight the pictures you no longer want, then right click and select Delete. Then there should be a shortcut on your screen called Recycle Bin, right click that and select Empty Recycle Bin. The files will now be completely removed from your computer.

There is history and the photo is saved on your wikis history. But only mods and up can restore photos and pages.

"Currently, deleted photos can be restored. There is no permanent deletion. This is done so photos deleted by mistake can be restored again. I will move this thread to the suggestions page, we really need a permanent delete option 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

"Can any one tell me if wetpaint is gona ever get a delete button? so I can completely delete my photos instead of having them on my computer taking up space? and anything else I don't want on myWIKI SITE."Your wiki site is not on your computer. It is out on the internet stored at Wetpaint. Once you upload the photos to Wetpaint, they are stored on a Wetpaint server on the internet. If you no longer desire the photo on your computer that you uploaded you can go to the folder that contains those photos and delete them. That will remove them from your computer and not on your wetpaint wiki. And vice versa, if you delete the photo from your wiki, it does not delete the photo from your computer. 1 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

This is a serious flaw with Wetpaint. We have private student information someone (a student contributor) posted to our wiki, and there's no way to remove the information PERMANENTLY. to protect the students' privacy. Deleting it from the page leaves it in the page history, and deleting the page simply moves it to the Uncategorized area, where the information is still accessible. I'm rather shocked that Wetpaint hasn't fixed this problem yet. -T

I'm rather shocked that Wetpaint hasn't fixed this problem yet. -T"The capability to delete pages from the page history has been around for a long time. The way to delete a page and its versions, so no information will be seen by others, with the exception of a moderator or above is to follow these steps below: 1. Remove all information on the current page and save the page. This will save a blank page. 2. With moderator or above privileges, go to view page history. 3. To the left of the date/time and above the first page revision entry shown there is a down pointing chevron. Left mouse click that one time, This will expand all revisions of the page history. 4. Notice, under each entry in the history, there is a "Delete this version" button. 5. Click the delete this version button for each entry in the history. This will apply a strike through on each of the page revisions deleted, 6. Only a moderator or above, will be able to restore a deleted page from the history. The general public will not be able to view anything in the page history list. Hope this helps with removing instances of personal information that resides on that students page Do you find this valuable? |
