A good Bug to hide page content.

I got tired of trying to figure out a table bug. No matter what I did, would not solve the problem of all the content being hidden when I saved the page. So I deleted the table and started over again. This time it worked. Then I got to thinking..it is hiding all the content in the table? If I make a page and put this table on it to hold all my content on that page, it no longer is a bug but an undocumented feature. It is now a hidden page and only those that I give moderator and administrator privileges can see the content. And there is more. Those that can edit the page can control what content in the page will be seen or not seen. You know, hide some, show some on the same page. How wonderful bugs can be. It only takes another angle to see them in a different light. I am glad I am the sole owner of this bug. It has been with me for several different browser releases from FF2, IE6 to present up-to-date releases and it still works for me. I love my hidden (private) page bug Do you find this valuable? |

Interesting. Can you send me a private message with the URL of a page with a table like this? I'd love to see an example of this bug.

Very cool discovery. It seems that tables have a lot of problems.

Tables are cool. What isnt cool is the way Browsers handle them. IE and FF have their problems with html interpretations. This good bug came from the way wysiwyg editor wrote the html for that table. I do not think the problem with this table can be duplicated on the creation of a new table. So it makes this table I have quite unique. I don't think, Wetpaint will be offering this as a feature. I am the person that experienced the bug and now that I understand how it can be used over and over again, will exploit the bug.

You're absolutely right - tables are awesome. Knowing bugs, Wetpaint's team of experts will have it "squashed" in no time.
