Updates seem to disappear

When I make an update to a page, save the changes, click on a link on the page, then backspace to the page where I made changes, my changes seem to disappear. If I refresh the page, they come back.It's not a major problem, but it threw me at first and I think it could be alarming to people who are new and a bit afraid of computers. (The kind of people we are trying to encourage to use our site and the kind of people Wetpaint is well-suited to because of its easy, user-friendly interface.) They wouldn't know to refresh the page, and might think their changes had been lost. Any chance of fixing this some time? Thanks, Hilary Using Firefox 3.0.1. Do you find this valuable? |

This is a natural activity for ALL browsers, computers, etc. When you hit back, you go back to the old version of a page before it was edited (that is, if the last thing you did was edit the page). If you want to get a fix (not technically a problem, thought) for this, you'd have to contact Microsoft/Mac directly.

When you hit the back button on your browser, like Roderigo said, it brings you back to the old version of the page. To see the changes you have made, refresh or reload the page. ( F1 on IE or Ctrl-R on FF). Or go to tool bar on your browser select View and then Reload or Refresh.

In fact one person I was giving a demo to and to whom I mentioned this said that he wouldn't have known that, and that's why I thought I would report it, because it could be off-putting to new editors, as I mentioned above. Do you find this valuable? |

Well I don't know what Wetpaint would be expected to do about it. It is how the browser works, you will need to contact the creator of the browser rather than Wetpaint.
