That Malware Warning...
Jun 18 2009, 1:14 AM EDT
I have that on my computer right now, and well...it doesn't go away. It continues to open up in Windows Internet Explorer. Now, what can I do...I mean, i come home, and there's literally 60 of those popups, and I have to restart my computer. Is there anyway I can stop it. I have not clicked on the ad or installed it.

Hey USKB, I'm pretty sure that the virus is no longer on Wetpaint, that must mean your computer is infected by the virus (Antivirus360) See: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-antivirus-360 - for virus removal instructions Do you find this valuable? |

Thanks to that bug, all of my students in my classes got it on their home computers. At home, I had no other option than to format my entire computer. Virtumonde is one of the toughest viruses to eliminate. It is NOT easy to do.

Yes, it was resolved immediately when it occurred five months ago.

"Yes, it was resolved immediately when it occurred five months ago."Well, luckily, I've been connected to other connections on vacation, which some were secure, and probably means that the connection eliminated it from my computer, because it's not showing up anymore, which is good. I also had another pop-up along with that (it was not from WP though) and like I said, once I went on vacation and got connected to other networks, POOF! Gone. Do you find this valuable? |
