What is EFFICIENT WAY for many people to communicate w/ Washington?

The home page of www.democrats.com talks about:

...” $100 billion Iraq/AfPak War Supplemental to protest $5 billion for the International Monetary Fund. That means 39 Democratic opponents could defeat the bill. 36 Democrats on the right promised to vote no, so we only need 3 more. ”
...And urges that we call reps and get in those last few votes.

Today’s democracynow.org podcast has a good inteview with Bob Fertiq about this issue.

I’ve searched in vain for some petition that would go out by fax or email to the appropriate parties.

I don’t have the time to phone or fax, neither do you.

I can’t believe that there is nothing in place for this that would allow people to sign electronically and then get it sent on to representatives.

Heck, I could not even find info about a deadline for the vote…

So…assuming that there’s still time to do something about this, does anyone have any good ideas about how EFFICIENTLY let ourselves be heard…about this? about other issues?
