Internal link to attachment
Jun 8 2009, 7:37 PM EDT
I have a PDF file which I would like any of several sub-pages to be able open as a "for more information" reference. The PDF is an attachment to a main topic page. Does Wet Paint support internal links to attachments, not just pages?

If you right-click on the attachment link and copy the link, you can definitely link to on any page you want.

Yes you can. After uploading the attachment. You can go to your main topic page, go to the attachment list at the bottom of the screen. and right click on the file name of your pdf file. Then select properties. A screen will appear containing the url of the attachment. Highlight the entire url and CTRL-C to copy it . Then go to the page(s) where you want the link to be, easyedit the page, type in some text, in your case "for more information", highlight the text and then click the link tool on the easyedit toolbar and do a CTRL-V to paste the copied url into the url box. Now you have a link to the attachment on your main page. You can do this for any of the pages you desire. Do you find this valuable? |

What about if you'd like to upload an updated version of the file, would you have do redo all the links?
