I want to post several documents to a page - pdf's and text documents. Is there any other way to do this besides posting them as attachments? They end up at the bottom of the page this way. Would like them more visible.

You can use Docstoc to host your documents and pdf files and grab a widget code to put onto your wiki. See this page here on wetpaint for details:
