Changeable usernames will cause a lot of confusion. It would be better if users could add a small slogan like thing under their usernames. This is done on a lot of forums.

Allow anyone to change their username without any limitations would probably cause a lot of confusion. Perhaps if some kind of restrictions were involved it would be feasible.

It wouldn't be Confusing because it'll say the Day they Joined. You can even put you Old Username. Or it could give you an Option to Remind everybody. I'M SICK AND TIRED OF MAKING NEW ACCOUNTS! It seems obvious that it would be a bad idea to just let anyone change their username any time and as many times as they want. That would get really confusing. What if changing a username was a something you had to pay a few dollars to do? That would discourage people from doing it willy-nilly yet still provide the option in those cases where someone really needs to make a change.Of course there would always be the option to just create a new account for free, so it would be purely optional.
