Banner ads at the top of the page

Please tell me you're not thinking of leaving the grey band at the top of the page with some wiki banner inside...It's not so much a problem for the banners to be at the gbottom of the page...but at the top? It completely clashes with the banner of each person's own wiki... 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

I think on WPC you are allowed to say suck. Just as long as you dont use it to insult a member or a wetpaint device.

Oh, no not again. I thought we managed to persuade you guys not to impose these obnoxious banner ads on us. I agree with the rest of the posts - they look terrible and spoil the look of the sites.

Yeah, I found that too...strange...they are terrible though...I have no problem with the Adsense ads, hell the more money Wetpaint makes and the more successful it is, the better for everyone...but a banner at the top and atthe bottom of a page? That's nuts... Do you find this valuable? |

Death by a thousand cuts!! You guys at Wetpaint keep foisting these banner headings on us, and we keep complaining. You stop them for a while, then you try again. We complain, you try again, we complain... I take it you will continue until you grind us into submission, or you get us so punch drunk, we don't care any more. Well, it ruins the look our our sites. Period. By all means sneak in your extra adds with the changes to the discussion forum, and anywhere else you care to mention, but PLEASE leave the banner adds out.IT TOTALLY SPOILS THE LOOK OF OUR SITES. Do you find this valuable? |

I agree, Baby Apple is a good source. I do admit the banners are annoying, but wetpaint needs them there so they can make Wetpaint a free service. Do you find this valuable? |

OK, lets kiss and make up. I'm sure we both agree that Wetpaint provide the best free wiki. ANYWHERE. They are responsive to our problems and their product is the cat's pyjamas. No argument. And of course they've got to make money through ads. But banner ads, come on, anything but that!Do you find this valuable? |

Well, I can see your point about the banners. For me, they only appear every so often, so it not a problem. But, they can get annoying.
