Problems With Full Header Scale/Size
Apr 30 2009, 10:30 PM EDT | Post edited: Apr 30 2009, 10:30 PM EDT
Hello:

I'm having a bunch of problems with a custom header that I've uploaded to my private site. Although I've used the dimensions indicated in this thread, the header (which is supposed to take up the entire top of the page) is either too short or too long. For those creating full-site banners, what are the appropriate dimensions? It's certainly longer than 780 pixels and a lot less than 1200 pixels in width. Any help would be appreciated.

It's in psd format, but I don't think that shouldake much of a difference. Do you find this valuable?

I made a banner at www.mybannermaker.com (Free), then I copied it into Paint and edited it so it fitted the page well. Do you find this valuable?

Can you tell me what size you ultimately used for the banner? How many pixels in width did it turn out being? 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

1000 x 150 is the size I often use when I want to cover the top. I also suggest saving your banner as PNG format.

On the other hand, read rule 9#:

Depending on the site style will govern the header size. See this page for more information on header size.
