My school district won't allow Facebook, so my Wetpaint site (www.successinthemiddle.wetpaint.com) won't load on my school computer with that new Facebook button. Is there something I can do to fix it? 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

It sounds to me like the method your school is using to block Facebook is not optimal. Your firewall should be returning something - even an error would be fine - but if the page isn't loading that's an indication that nothing at all is being returned. Browsers don't like it when that happens and there's nothing we can do about it.

Please suggest to whomever is in charge of blocking Facebook that they either return a 200OK that is blank or a 404 or a 500 error.

There may be something that you can do, however it's a little technical.
You can modify your hosts file so that facebook.com and fbcdn.net both redirect to localhost. If that makes sense to you, great. If not, I'd be willing to talk to anyone in your IT group.
