If you want to close or shut down a wiki, you can contact wetpaint do to so. But if you don't want to close the site and you just want to stop a site from getting anymore contributions, then you can use the Writer Feature in the settings page.

I'm just not seeing the "writier" feature on the settings page. Could you be more specific as to it's location?

Go to settings, then permissions. Change the permissions to the third option, and click OK. Now as long as nobody is a writer or above, they will not be able to make page edits.

Well, they are all writers. I used this for class paper submission. The due date was last midnight. So now I need to prohibit any additional revisions or submissions. Will your procedure to that?

You should lock the pages. Locked pages are only editable by moderators+.
