search problems-looking for sites

At wetpaint central-when I do a search for a certain type of site-I no longer get a page that names keyword associated sites-but a discussion page without any links to any keyword associated site(s). It didn't used to be like this. I was able to do keyword searches & find links to keyword related sites a few weeks ago. If there isn't a thread on WetPaint Central, the site probably won't show up. I used the WPC search several weeks ago & was successful in scoping things out for a xeriscaping site that I want to develop. Thank you 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

I see what you mean. New threads and pages are not showing up. I'm sure Wetpaint's working on a fix for it now.

i can search pretty good if you search an exact keyword though if it is not extreemly populated it probably wont show up on the first page other than that i seem to have no probablems with this search

For me it was the opposite. I decided to check out WPC home & see what problems there might be. We were all fussing about our sites. I entered "CSI Miami" for the search word in the top left browser, which I've always used for site search. I tried it on the browser bar on top of the discussion thread list.-same-o, same-o! They only brought up general discussion pages, e.g. complaints-compliments & questions about CSI Miami sites, but no listing of sites by the keyword. I tried to find a site by clicking on a member's name & piggy-backing it to the site. Then I entered "CSI" and I got a list of the different CSI sites. I didn't have time to see if they had live links. With such a large venture-there should be a definite "Find a Site" browser with some live links. If that can't be done-live site links should be featured before the threads. It might help some sites grow. I'm finished kevitching. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
