last nights update

I find the featured threads box on the top of the page highly annoying and the fact that you can't see the number of pages a thread has on the discussion forum.
personally I think especially that thread thing is a step backward rather than forward.

I am wondering if this is a new feature, but Wetpaint seems to not have posted any of the new features, if any, and they have not yet updated the Wetpaint 500!

I have to say that I am not a fan either. It's annoying to have this box on top of the page. Especially if you only have like one featured thread. Do you find this valuable?

If you really want to improve the features greatly; add a delete pictures for the personal galleries. I and others on the WIKI have galleries that we would like to clean up. The big photo sites flickr, photo bucket, face book, my space allow the user to delete personal pictures. Wet Paint is set up so that any time a personal photo is posted it becomes the sole property of the WIKI. Fellows; this just is not right. A person joins a WIKI not to have personal property taken. I am talking about my family photos, my wife, my children, my grandchildren. I have learned the hard way that posting pictures to share with friends becomes permanent. I am not some over the top kook but have helped build at great site. Please do not tell me only the moderator can remove my family pictures from my albums. Tell that to flickr, or photo bucket users. You want to add a feature - give the user the right to organize photos in their PERSONAL galleries. I am not talking about locked pages but personal galleries. If this is not a possibility there should be a warning added to wet paint sites. Something like "WARNING All pictures posted to your albums become the sole property of WET PAINT. You will not have the right to remove personal photos." The fact I that should freely chose to cancel my membership and WET PAINT holds my photos for an indefinite period of time bothers me greatly. Again I assure you I am not a ranting user but a polite, well mannered user of the site.
Respectively
Bill

Yeah, on one of my sites, none of threads are featured, so it's just a big blank spot, the "Have you seen................?" and the threads.
I'm not a fan of this update, at least not on the Discussion Forum.

Hey-you guys messed up big time-It works differently on different sites-If there are featured threads-they may or may not be in the box-IF THERE AREN'T FEATURED THREADS-IT MAKES IT LOOK AS THOUGH THE LAST PERSON THAT REPLIED ON A THREAD IS THE CREATER OF THE THREAD-SOME SITE MEMBERS ARE SORT OF UPTIGHT & THAT CAN CAUSE FUEDS-MEMBERS BEING BANNED. I'm in mostly okay sites-but this can be bad!! Did you guys but in a censorship software? A mod on one of my sites is very upset as she was warned by Wetpaint central that she used inappropiate language or context- I went to the history-but it doesn't show that any action was taken. While I was trying to find the moderator by joining & action date-you changed the amount of WetPaint Central moderators. SO LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU GET DONE PLAYING AROUND SO I CAN ASSESS MY SITES & CONTACT THE MODERATORS AND CREATORS ABOUT THESE CHANGES. Do you find this valuable?

It is a step backward, in my opinion.

I don't like it. It's repetitive and useless. Please put bit back the way it was before. Do you find this valuable?

I could get used to it (eventually), but I don't understand the purpose of the change. What is bothering me the most is the fact that you can no longer skip to the end of a thread; this is inconvenient, sloppy, and a completely random move.
I am not too bothered, but I preferred it the old way and am mystified about what was supposed to be gained from this change.

I am NOT a fan of the new thread format
I found the old one much easier to navigate.
I would like the old one back please.
