If you are interested, having already done this in a previous life, I could translate all the architecture of the Wiki into French (including set templates), etc. I'm already having to work on it for the two wetpaint hosted websites we're using in my school. So get in touch ! Do you find this valuable?

Google already has a translating so when you click on a link, your entire site is translated into another language. I have done it for many of my sites. 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Firstly, automatic translators are useless. If you don't believe me, try doing a back-translation ! Or take a look at Engrish.com !

Secondly, I'm not talking about the content, but about the architecture, i.e. "easy edit", "more tools", "get credit for your thread", which doesn't mean much to a 13 or 14 year old French kid... Or many people much older, actually.

I apologize for not having explained myself clearly enough. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I understand your strong concern for this, but I have not tried to Easy Edit it while it has been translated you can visit mynewmoon.wetpaint.com and click on the en francais link at the homepage top! Do you find this valuable?

I read the translated version - it's awful ! It barely makes sense ! The syntax is terrible... And that was just the homepage. I'm sorry for you, but I maintain machines cannot translate. Do you find this valuable?

I am administrating educational websites which the pupils maintain and contribute to, as well as teachers involved from 6 different countries, not all of them speak English. Therefore, if there was a French / Spanish / Italian/ version of the wiki templates and tools + how to guides it would be very helpful to al lot of people. All I'm saying is that I can help with that. Do you find this valuable?

It would be great if Wetpaint provided a translating feature. I could translate my whole site to chinese then! Do you find this valuable?

Just to hit the nail on the head, here's an extract of the back-translation :
"After Bella attempts cliff-diving, it is in a Riptide and is rescued by Jacob. Meanwhile, Alice Cullen, Edward prophetic vampire sister, has a vision of Bella jump off the cliff. Assuming that Bella is dead, Alice rushes to Forks to check Charlie Swan, Bella's father. At the same time, wrongly, Edward was informed by his sister Rosalie that Bella is dead. Desperate on his supposed death, Edward flees to Italy to provoke the car, the vampires of peacekeeping would be able to kill him." Do you find this valuable?

And also, Google Translators don't always work. Some times, thety don't work with my sites. Do you find this valuable?

Just my point as well. The translation and availability on the menu bar and tool buttons in other languages would be top on my list of new features. A suggestion: why not open these buttons up for manual translation by each site administrator who needs it? You (Wetpaint Developers) might be able to do it with an alias feature on the underlying data base field. Do you find this valuable?
