Wetpaint has to trust you, it isn't based off of contributions. I currently have 725, and am not a writer or moderator, but the main point of Wetpaint Central is to help people, not to get fancy positions.

Technically, you are already a "writer," since all registered users can edit on Wetpaint Central.

It took me months to become a moderator here- and, community moderators have very strict rules that they need to comply with.

Correct. It takes hard work to be honored as a Moderator, and community Moderators give support because we want to be helpful, not so we can become Moderators. If I only cared about the position, then I would have 1000 posts here instead of 2000.

I think we have more than enough mods anyway. Maybe we can get rid of some of the less active mods.
